South Bend Elaine Kujawa, 81, passed away at 4:21am on Tuesday, April 24, 2012 in Memorial Hospital surrounded by her family.Elaine was born February 8, 1931 in Walkerton to the late William and Lucy (Wolff) Bromley. Elaine is also preceded in death by a brother Larry Bromley. On October 8, 1949 Elaine married John Stanley Kujawa who survives. Elaine is also survived by daughters, Susan (Bernie) Mehall of Simpsonville, S.C., Linda (Gary) Layher of Niles, MI, and Karen (Bob) Lipinski of South Bend, IN; grandchildren, Jennifer (Nick) Oskay, Christian (Amy) Mehall, Joshua (Teri) Mehall, Sara and Nathan Layher, Ryan and Kimberly Lipinski; and three great- granddaughters. Elaine was a homemaker and wife, she loved spending time with her family, grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was a parishioner of Holy Family Catholic Church and a member of the Rosary Society. Visitation will be 5:00pm to 8:00pm on Thursday, April 26, 2012 in ST. JOSEPH FUNERAL HOME, 824 S. Mayflower Rd., where a Rosary will be prayed at 7:30pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00am on Friday, April 27, 2012 in Holy Family Catholic Church. Burial will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery.
