South Bend - Nicholas Eugene Sikorski, 29 years old, residing in South Bend, passed away Wednesday, July 7, 2021. He was born December 16, 1991 in South Bend, the son of Irvin & Carol (Phelps) Sikorski, and has lived in South Bend all of his life. He was a 2010 graduate of James Whitcomb Riley High School and graduated with a BS in Theatre Light Design from Indiana University of South Bend in May 2019. He received the Arts Excellence Award in Theatre while at IUSB and was a participant at the Kennedy Center America College Theater Festival in Wisconsin. Nick was employed at Penn High School as Manager of the Theatre Dept. He was also a professional DJ, known as DJ R3AM. He DJ'd at the South Bend's Best Week Ever and River Lights Festival for several years. He was the DJ for Penn High School Proms for the past 10 years. His recent passion has been off roading on trails with his Jeep having accomplished several trails in Colorado, UP in Michigan, and Indiana. Nick is survived by his parents, Irvin and Carol Sikorski of South Bend, his sister and brother-in-law, Theresa & Chris Highbaugh of Elkhart, and his brother, Bradley Sikorski of South Bend. Also surviving is his fiancée, Rebecca Kenna. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Helen & Roger Phelps, and paternal grandparents, Gertrude & Irvin Sikorski, Sr. Family and friends may gather from 2:00 - 6:00 p.m. Sunday at the Palmer Funeral Home-Bubb Chapel, 3910 North Main Street, Mishawaka. Services for Nick will be at 10:00 a.m. Monday, July 12, at the funeral home. Graveside services and burial will follow at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens, Osceola.
