John Everett Shaffer, 93, of Milwaukee, formerly of Mishawaka, died at 9:08 a.m. Friday in his home. He retired from Mueller Corp. in 1973 after 15 years as a food distributor. He was born May 13, 1902, in Walton, IN. In 1920 in Koln, Germany, he married Adelheid Diehl. She died in 1951. In 1952 he married Mary J. Draganowski. She survives with a daughter, Lydia May Horn of Granger; a stepdaughter, Elizabeth Holderman of Wisconsin; four grandchildren, one great grandchild; a sister, Bertha M. Gour and a brother, Donald R., both of South Bend. He was a member of Milburn Boulevard Church of Christ, National Council of Senior Citizens, and was a World War I Army Veteran. Services were handled by Bubb Funeral Chapel, North, 3910 N. Main St. Mishawaka. Burial is in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens, Osceola.
