SOUTH BEND - Clementine Blasko, 89, passed away at 9:10 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 29, in her residence. Clementine was born on March 6, 1918, in South Bend, to the late Leon and Hattie (Nalezek) Kiemnec. On Nov. 30, 1940, she married Stephen Blasko in Mishawaka, who preceded her in death on March 6, 1993. She was also preceded in death by two sisters, Virginia Martin and Adeline DeFreeuw, and by her brother, Casimir. She is survived by her two sons, Ronald Blasko and Robert Blasko, both of South Bend; five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren; and a brother, Leo (Jean) Kiemnec of South Bend. Clementine was a member of Harvest House of St. Adalbert Catholic Church. Visitation will be from 2 to 6 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 3, in ST. JOSEPH FUNERAL HOME, 824 S. Mayflower Road, South Bend. A funeral liturgy will be celebrated at 6 p.m. on Thursday in the funeral home. Burial will take place at St. Joseph Cemetery, South Bend, at a later date.
