MICHIGAN CITY - Louis J. Rudynski, 92, passed away on Tuesday, February 27, 2018 surrounded by his family. Louis was born August 21, 1925 in South Bend, to the late Joseph and Mary (Romsicki) Rudynski. Louis married Ruth (Dunn) Rudynski; she preceded him in death on August 21, 2014. Louis was also preceded in death by son, Steve Holt; daughter, Pat Pearson; sisters, Stella Frazier, Clara Smith, and Betty Schrader; brothers, Bert, Walt, and Albert Rudynski; and a son-in-law, Marcus Kraynak. Survivors of Louis include son, Robert (Lynn) Rudynski of La Porte and daughter, Louise Kraynak of LaPorte, and 7 grandchildren.Louis honorably served his country in the United States Army during the Korean War. He retired from AM General, where he worked in the military vehicle production for 25 years. Louis enjoyed farming; he was a very hard worker his entire life. Visitation for Louis will be held 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm on Friday, March 2, 2018 in ST. JOSEPH FUNERAL HOME, 824 S. Mayflower Rd., with military honors to follow at 3:00 pm.
