SOUTH BEND - Theresa R. Lodyga, 88, passed away on Sunday, October 8, 2017, in the Hospice House of St. Joseph County. Theresa was born August 27, 1929, in South Bend, to the late Joseph and Mary (Sotkiewicz) Popiolek. On June 19, 1948, in St. Stanislaus Bishop & Martyr Catholic Church, Theresa married Harry Lodyga. He preceded her in death on January 1, 1999. Theresa was also preceded in death by a son, Robert A. Lodyga; sister, Barbara Martz; and brother, Norbert Popiolek. Survivors of Theresa include her daughters, Donna (Terry) Cline, and Katherine (Steven Kronberger) Lodyga of South Bend; grandchildren, Amy Cline, Sara (Chris Williams) Cline, Joshua (Stacey) Cline, Amanda Lodyga and Robert Lodyga; great-grandchildren, Caitlin, Stephanie, Chelsea, Tyler, Taylor, Dylan, Kylie, Nicholas, Alex, Joshua Jr., Alexis, Mariah, Arrielle, Macie, and Rianna; great-great-grandchildren, Jayden, Miliani, Julian, and Mia; and daughter-in-law, Rana Lodyga. Theresa was a parishioner of St. Adalbert's Catholic Church. She was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and great-great-grandmother and will be greatly missed by her family. Visitation for Theresa will take place from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm, Wednesday, October 11, 2017, in ST. JOSEPH FUNERAL HOME, 824 S. Mayflower Rd., with a Rosary to be prayed at 5:00 pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 am Thursday, October 12, 2017, in St. Adalbert Catholic Church. Burial will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery.
