Mr. John "Jack" Meeks Bomer, age 70, passed away October 8, 2010 in Vienna, Austria. He was preceded in death by his parents, Edwin and Frances Meeks Bomer. Graveside funeral services will be conducted at 2 PM, Saturday, December 4, 2010 in Oakwood Cemetery, Brownsville, TN, with Rev. Chris McCurdy officiating.Mr. Bomer was born and raised in Memphis, TN and a member of First Presbyterian Church. He was an accomplished composer and arranger whose music was featured on multiple recordings and performed both in the United States and Europe by many ensembles. He was a generous, well loved, immensely kind husband, father, grandfather, and friend.He is survived by his wife: Hilda Stalzer Bomer, Boulder, CO; three daughters: Kika Dorsey, Boulder, CO, Paula Bomer, Brooklyn, NY, and Maxine Bomer, Savannah, GA; one brother: Jeff Bomer, Jr., Austin, TX; and four grandchildren: John Bomer Rockwell, Harold Rockwell, Sam Dorsey, and Eliza Dorsey.
