I just started viewing some microfilm from Potulice, Poland. I found the marriage of my great-great grandparents, Thomas Paczesny and Francisca Napierala married 15 Nov 1857; witnesses were Joannes Paczesny and Adalbertus Czarnecki.
When their first son was born (Franciszek, 13 Aug 1859) his godparents were Jan Paczesny and Maryanna Nowak.
When their daughter (my great grandmother Michelina) was born her godparents were Jan Lemanski and Maryanna Graff.
I'm sure you know how difficult it is to read old records in Polish, German and Latin because some of these records are very difficult to read.
Anyway, this is what I think: Thomas Paczesny and John Paczesny were brothers. I found John and Constancia's marriage record (10 Oct 1864) on the microfilm; verifying this with the Poznan Project, he was 27 she was 21. Their witnesses were Stanislaus Horka and Adalberth Broniskowska. My previous email stated that Angeline Stanislowski said Stephan was a son to Thomas; I think she either got confused or I heard it wrong. I think she meant that Stephan was a son to John, Thomas' brother. Anyway I'm going to pursue this, so if I find any evidence you'll hear from me again.
I forgot to mention that Thomas was born in 1834; and from I gather John was born in 1837.
