SOUTH BEND - Elizabeth M. Ritter, 79, of East Dayton Street, SouthBend, Ind., passed away at 6:20 a.m. on Saturday, Aug. 22, at the St. Joseph's Medical Center. Elizabeth was a good wife and mother. She was born on Feb. 24, 1919, in South Bend to the late Paul and Anna (Marciniak) Burgoyne, and had lived in the South Bend area since 1939, coming from Berrien Springs, Mich. She was married on Aug. 6, 1939, in South Bend, to Archie D. Ritter, who survives. She is also survived by one daughter, Debra A. Poczik of South Bend; two sons, Dennis A. Ritter of Little Rock, Ark. and Gregory L. Ritter of Osceola, Ind.; three grandchildren, Deanna Hamm, Angela Poczik and Charles Poczik, III; and by one sister, Pauline Gill of Berrien Springs, Mich. She was preceded in death by one brother, Bud Burgoyne; and by two sisters, Ilene Scholtes and Mary Ann Peterson. Elizabeth attended Grade United Methodist Church and Munson Chapel. Services will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday in the Palmer Funeral Home, South Bend. Rev. Richard Siri will officiate. Burial will follow at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens, Osceola. Friends may call from 4 to 6 p.m. today in the Palmer Funeral Home, South Bend. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer
