INDEX

[N15167] Beverly Marozsan never liked that $10 a month the union subtracted from her already meager paycheck. She wasn’t making that much - $9.67 an hour working part-time as a parking lot attendant for the city of Boulder - and resented that she paid as much as a full-time employee for union services. “The pay wasn’t great. I didn’t use the health benefits. I tried to get out of the union, but I was told I still had to pay my dues. I was a nonvoting member and thought my dues should go down because of that,” said Marozsan, who recently retired after five years as a city employee. “I’m just not sure that a union does that much good.” Marozsan will be voting for Amendment 47. Eric Sibelius won’t. Denver Post 10-22-2008
