SOUTH BEND - Stanley C. Gorski, 77, passed away at 10:08 a.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 20, 2006, in the Hospice and Palliative Care Center of St. Joseph County. Stanley was born on May 8, 1929, to the late Steve and Frances (Dembinski) in South Bend. He was preceded in death by his parents; a son, James; and by two brothers, Joseph and Casimer Gorski. On October 30, 1946, he married Dorothy Skierkowski, who survives. He is also survived by his son, Robert (Barb) Gorski; two grandchildren, Dawn (Edwin) Plonski and James (Jenny) Gorski, both of South Bend; six great-grandchildren, Jonathon, Mathew, Autum, Devon, Kariina and Abbie; and a sister, Mary (Dan) Kocsis of South Bend. Stanley retired from AM General as an assembler after 15 years. He was also a member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church. There will be no visitation; cremation has taken place. Burial will be at St. Joseph Cemetery. Memorials in Stanley's name may be made to the Hospice and Palliative Care Center of St. Joseph County, 111 Sunnybrook Court, South Bend, IN 46637.
