MISHAWAKA - Michael H. Vrielynck, 51, passed away in the Saint Joseph Regional Medical Center, Mishawaka. Michael was born on March 22, 1959, in South Bend, to Henry and Rose Marie (Fair) Vrielynck. On June 21, 1980, in Mishawaka, he married the former Kriste K Rowe. Surviving are his parents, Henry and Rose Marie Vrielynck of Granger; wife, Kriste; children, Gina Marie (Richard) Gordenier of South Bend, Kristina (Gary) Lee of Munster, IN, Michael J. (Megan) Vrielynck of South Bend, Kaitlynn (TJ) Snowden of South Bend, Matthew Vrielynck of Mishawaka, Kelsey "Pooh Bear" Vrielynck of Mishawaka and Mitchell "Mitch Man" Vrielynck of Mishawaka; three grandchildren Braeden, Cohen and Noah; brothers, James of Granger, Kenneth of Las Vegas and Robert of Granger. Also surviving are his dogs, Sophia and Brutus II, Bebe and Daisy. Michael had worked for AM General and currently worked for Curtis Products. He was a Penn High School graduate. He enjoyed go-kart racing, rocket football, and was a gun collector. He loved spending time with his kids and grandbabies. Visitation for family and friends will be on Thursday, September 9, from 1 to 4 and 5 to 8 p.m. in Hahn Funeral Home, 505 W. 8th Street, Mishawaka. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday, September 10th, in Queen of Peace Catholic Church, Mishawaka, with Rev. Dan Scheidt officiating. Burial will follow at Fairview Cemetery, Mishawaka. Memorial contributions may be made to the education fund for the Vrielynck children.
