SOUTH BEND - John Joseph Wieczorek, 67, of South Bend, passed away Wednesday, April 18, 2018, at his home following a long illness. John was born September 1, 1950 in South Bend, to the late Alice (Wegenke) and Joseph Wieczorek. On September 10, 2002, he married the love of his life, the former Dolly (Adams) who survives, and said that it was the best day of his life. He is survived by many cousins who will miss and remember him. John worked for over 20 years for Electronics, Inc. John was a Ham Radio operator, call sign KA9TPG “J.W.” He and Dolly loved to garden and enjoyed their pond very much. He and Dolly were avid antique collectors. Dolly would like to thank all the people at Hospice for their special care of John. Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, April 21, 2018 in the Welshemer Family Funeral Home North, 17033 Cleveland Road, where friends may visit two hours prior to the service.
