Paul Felix Eble, 97, of Angola, Indiana died Wed. January 22, 2014 at Cameron Memorial Hospital, Angola, Indiana. Paul had been a Physics Professor at Tri-State University for 30 years, Township Assessor for 19 years and worked at the Steuben County Humane Society for 30 years. He was born March 22, 1916 in South Bend, IN to Maximillian and Katherine (Mischker) Eble. He graduated from Notre Dame University in 1938. He proudly served our county in the US Army. He married Alice M. Davis on February 16, 1942. He was a member of St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church, Angola, IN; the Angola American Legion Post 31 and was active in the Steuben County Republican Party. Paul is survived by his sister Francis Thornton of South Bend, IN and his sister-in-law Ruth Davis of South Bend, IN. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife Alice M. Davis Eble on April 7, 2013; one brother and two sisters. Funeral Mass will be on Tuesday, January 28, 2014 at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church, Angola, IN with Father Fred Pasche officiating. Burial will take place in Highland Cemetery, South Bend, IN.
