Judith Strantz
Dec. 17, 1961 - April 16, 2011
MISHAWAKA - Our beloved Judith Annette Strantz, 49, passed away on April 16, 2011, in Bradenton, Florida. She was born on December 17, 1961, in South Bend, Indiana, to the late Robert Matthew Strantz and Trudy (Muszynski) Strantz. She was a Mishawaka graduate and earned a Commercial Drivers License (CDL), a Hazardous Materials License, and a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certificate. Judith became a creative and skillful entrepreneur who owned and managed several businesses. Her most recent enterprise was "Out My Window, Where Art Grows" Artistic Landscape Design in Bradenton, Florida. She possessed an ability to create artistic masterpieces in several different mediums, though landscape design was her passion and became her area of expertise. She was able to take the blank pallet of an unadorned landscape, and see the ultimate potential for beauty through the eye of a master landscaper. Judith also had a gift for seeing the possibilities in neglected homes in need of renovation, bringing them back to beautiful, comfortable havens with her inherent creative aptitude, common sense and hard work. Judith fulfilled her life-long dream to live in Florida. She particularly enjoyed music, especially jazz. Judith was the ultimate nature girl, possessing a great affection for animals and nature, always ready to protect and nurture God's creation. She greatly enjoyed Lake Michigan's and Florida's beautiful beaches, especially Anna Maria Island. She took pleasure in jogging, and participated in sports throughout her life. She became a fan of baseball. She was a loving, devoted mother, always striving to provide the best she could for her children. Judith lived passionately, honestly and uniquely, never forgetting to keep a fresh, child-like, quality in all of her endeavors. She was just naturally and simply beautiful. Surviving are daughter, Frankie Lee Baiz, and son, Cassidy Thomas Baiz. Also surviving are brothers and sisters, Charles (Susan) Strantz, Michael Strantz, Eric (Suzan) Strantz, Christopher (Jenelyn) Caduff, Margaret Strantz, Elizabeth Strantz, Mary (Joe) Beth Rosheck, Caroline (James) Drummond; and sister-in-law, Laurie Strantz. Judith was preceded in death by her father, Robert Strantz, and her brother, Frank Strantz. Judith was blessed with nieces and nephews, Sonya (Jeff) Glenn, Melissa (Scott) Saros, Judah (Jess) Strantz, Reuben Strantz, Scott Strantz, Catrice (Michael) Johnson, Ryan Rosheck, AJ Rosheck, Christopher Strantz, Kasee Strantz, Breanna Strantz, Corey Strantz, Jeremy Caduff, Jason Caduff, Jesse Drummond, Jack Drummond and Arianna Drummond. Great-nieces and nephews include Colin Johnson, Gabrielle Johnson, Killian Johnson, Brandon Johnson, Ayedin Strantz and Brayden Rosheck. An education fund has been created, and contributions on behalf of Cassidy and Frankie has been entrusted to their aunt, Margaret Strantz, who may be contacted at strantzpge@sbcglobal.net. An evening memorial Mass to celebrate Judy's life will be held at 6:30 PM on Friday, June 17th 2011, at Our Lady of Holy Cross Chapel, located at 54515 State Road 933 North, Notre Dame, IN 46556.
