SOUTH BEND - Betty J. Hensley, 68, passed away Thursday, Dec. 12, 2013, in Golden Living Center at Fountainview. Betty was born in Ivel, Kentucky, April 13, 1945, to the late Charles and Rosa (Whitaker) Haywood. Betty was also preceded in death by two daughters, Sherri Ciesielski and Misty Hensley; grandson, Rodney Hochstedler; and 10 brothers and sisters. On November 2, 1968, in Virginia, Betty married Randall Hensley, who survives along with their children, Tammy (Mike) Whitmer, Pam (John Hochstedler) Hensley; grandchildren, Justin Bennett, Jeff (Erin) Ciesielski, Cody Ciesielski, Brandon Elkins, Jesse Hochstedler, Anthony (Donald) Glassman, Steven (Samantha) Hensley, Amber and Andreanna Whitmer; great-grandchildren, Kenzie, Karter, Presley and Kelsey Hensley; sisters, Lois Haywood and Rita (Nelson) Cline; and numerous nieces and nephews. Betty was a homemaker; she enjoyed shopping at Kohl's, and working in her flower garden. Most of all she loved spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Visitation for Betty will be 11:00 am to 1:00 pm Monday, December 16, 2013, in ST. JOSEPH FUNERAL HOME, 824 S. Mayflower Rd., with a Funeral Ceremony to be celebrated at 1:00 pm. Burial will follow at Highland Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society or to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital . Condolences for the family may be made at www.sjfh.net. .
