Obituary Sat, 5 Feb 1972 "South Bend Tribune",
Frank Palkowski, 74, of 1639 Fassnacht St., died at 8 p.m. Friday in St. Joseph Hospital after an illness of one year. In 1962 he retired from the Bendix Corp., where he had been employed for 28 years. He was born Sept. 19, 1897, in South Bend and had lived here most of his life. His wife, Genevieve, died in 1939. He is survived by a son, James Paulson of Kokomo; two daughters, Mrs. Betty Dylejko and Mrs. Gertrude Pendzinski, both of South Bend; four grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; a brother, Stanley, and a sister, Mrs. Frances Freel, both of South Bend. . Friends may call from 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday at the Kaniewski and Sons Funeral Home. Services will be held at 10 a.m. Monday in St. Stanislaus Catholic Church, Rev. Casimir F. Grabarz, C.S.C., pastor, officiating. Burial will be in St. Joseph's Cemetery. He was a veteran of World War I.
