Eugene L. Pietrzak, 90, passed away at 10:30am Monday, March 30, 2020 in his residence. Eugene was born on April 19, 1929 in South Bend to John and Anne (Sipotz) Pietrzak. He was employed by Studebaker, Borden Ice Cream, Redmers Auto Supply, Sears Auto, NAPA Standard Auto, Yale Fork Lifts, and Podell Machinery. Gene was Korean War veteran serving as a Corporal in the U.S. Army, the 623d Field Artillery. Surviving are a sister Kathleen (Shidler) Greene along with numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by three sisters, Evelyn Nyikos, Jeanette Perry and Suzanne Bella and two brothers, John Pietrzak and David Shidler. Gene enjoyed fishing , short trips in surrounding states, family gatherings, cook-outs and holiday dinners. His joy was his cars, especially Studebakers, which he kept spotless. We will miss you, Uncle Gene, (GENO) . Rest in peace. We love you. Graveside services will be celebrated at 1:00pm Friday, April 3, 2020 in Highland Cemetery.
