SOUTH BEND - Louise W. White, 96, passed away Thursday, June 19, 2014, in the Morning Side Nursing & Memory Care Center. Louise was born August 3, 1917, in South Bend, to the late Walter and Helen (Wroblewski) Prentkowski. Louise married Joseph James White, who preceded her in death on March 3, 1996. Louise was also preceded in death by a brother, Edward Prentkowski, and a cousin, Joseph Wroblewski. Survivors include close cousins, Gloria and Brian Johnson both of South Bend, Fred Roble of Mishawaka, and Dan Wro-blewski of North Carolina, and several cousins, nieces and nephews, and step-son, Ronald (Sandy) James. Louise retired in 1977 from Koontz Wagner after 20 years. She was a parishioner of St. Hedwig Catholic Church. Louise enjoyed baking cookies, planting flowers, going to her cousin Gloria's house for the holidays, and she adored her cats. Visitation for Louise will be 4:00pm to 7:00 pm, Monday, June 23, 2014, in ST. JOSEPH FUNERAL HOME, 824 S. Mayflower Rd., where a Rosary will be prayed at 6:00 pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 am Tuesday, June 24, 2014, in St. Hedwig Catholic Church. Burial will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made out to St. Hedwig Church, 331 S. Scott St., South Bend, Indiana 46601.
