EDWARDSBURG - Edward C. Pianowski, 97 years old, of North Port, FL, formerly of Edwardsburg. MI, passed to his rest Nov. 30, 2017 at his home in North Port. He was born Oct. 10, 1920 in Mishawaka, IN, the son of Frank and Blanche (Klimek) Pianowski. Edward was married Feb. 14, 1942 in Chicago to Dolores F. Mellin, and she passed Jan. 5, 1999. Edward and Dolores were farmers in the Edwardsburg area; the farm was known as White Woods Acres, and they retired in 1978 and moved to Florida. Surviving is a son, Allan Pianowski of Kewanee, IL, and a foster son, Bob Hawkins of Cassopolis. There are seven grandchildren and several great-grandchildren and great-great- grandchildren. Family and friends may gather on Thursday, Dec. 14, 2017 from 10:00-11:00 AM at Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church, 24832 US-12 East, Edwardsburg. At 11:00 AM a Mass of Christian Burial will begin with Father Bob Flickinger, Pastor of the church, officiating. Interment will follow at St. Joseph Valley Memorial Park in Granger, IN.
