NOTRE DAME
Theodore J. "Ted" Novakowski, 79, of Notre Dame, IN, passed away on Monday in his home. He was born on August 2, 1935, in Elmira, NY, to the late Theodore J. and Florence (Bixby) Novakowski. He graduated from the University of Notre Dame in 1957 with a Bachelor Degree in business. On September 26, 1959, he married Dorothy A. Wilkinson, who survives. Also surviving are his children, Kathy Badaloto of Booton, N.J., Karen Novak of Dallas, TX, Theodore "Ted" (Suzanne) Novakowski of Palatine, IL, and Tom (Kris) Novakowski of Toms River, N.J.; and nine grandchildren, Michael, Brian and Danny Badolato, Theodore "TJ" Novakowski, IV, Rebecca, David, Nicholas, Sarah and Stephanie Novakowski. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday, July 30, 2015, at the Kaniewski Funeral Home, 3545 N. Bendix Drive, where a Rosary will be prayed at 7:30 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 9:30 am Friday at the Basilica of the Sacred Heart, Notre Dame.
