SOUTH BEND - Virginia (Andrysiak) Strozewski, 89, died Wednesday in the Holy Cross Care & Rehabilitation Center. Her husband, Walter "Doc" Strozewski, preceded her in death. She is survived by several nieces and nephews and their families. Visitation will be from 2 to 8 p.m. Friday in the Kaniewski Funeral Home, 3545 N. Bendix Drive, South Bend, where a Rosary will be prayed at 4:00 p.m. Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday in St. Casimir Catholic Church. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Casimir Catholic Church.

SOUTH BEND - Virginia Strozewski, 89, died at 8:30 AM Wednesday, January 9, 2008, in the Holy Cross Care & Rehabilitation Center. She was born to the late Frank and Mary (Blaszczak) Andrysiak on May 13, 1918, in South Bend, IN, and was a lifelong resident. Along with her parents, three sisters, Genevieve G. Kowalski, Dorothy Kitkowski and Eleanor Pease, and four brothers, Walter, Alfred, Frank and Richard Andrysiak, also preceded her in death. Mrs. Strozewski retired in 1980 from the Raco Corporation, after 30 years of employment. On September 25, 1948, as Virginia Andrysiak, she married Walter "Doc" Strozewski in St. Casimir Catholic Church in South Bend, IN. He died on September 15, 1989. She is survived by several nieces and nephews and their families. Mrs. Strozewski was a lifelong member of St. Casimir parish, was a member of the Golden Cluster at St. Hedwig Catholic Church and the Raco Retiree Club. Visitation will be from 2 to 8 PM today, Jan. 11, 2008, in the Kaniewski Funeral Home, 3545 N. Bendix Drive, South Bend, IN, where a parish Rosary will be prayed at 4:00 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 AM (note the time change) Saturday, January 12, 2008, in St. Casimir Catholic Church, with Rev. Bob Nagosek, C.S.C., officiating. Entombment will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Casimir Catholic Church, 1308 Dunham Street, South Bend, IN 46619.
