SOUTH BEND - Irene S. Klosinski, 87, of Transitional Health Services of South Bend, formerly of Chicago Street, died at 11:50 p.m. Friday at St. Joseph's Medical Center. Mrs. Klosinski was born Sept. 29, 1909, in South Bend, and resided in this area all of her life. She retired in 1974, from the University of Notre Dame as manager of the Tailor Shop. On Sept. 15, 1930, in South Bend, as Irene Splawski, she married Casimir Zielinski. He preceded her in death in 1943. On Aug. 12, 1947, in South Bend, she married Bernard Klosinski. He preceded her in death in 1985. Surviving Mrs. Klosinski is a daughter, Loretta Hauguel of South Bend, a son, Ray Zielinski of South Bend; two stepdaughters, Helene Sobiech and Rita Nagy, both of South Bend; nine grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandchild; and a sister, Clementine Mrozinski of South Bend. Friends may call from 2 to 8 p.m. today in the St. Joseph Funeral Home, where a rosary will be said at 6 p.m. Services will be at noon Monday at Holy Family Catholic Church, with burial to follow in St. Joseph Cemetery. Mrs. Klosinski was a member of the ladies Sodality and Harvest House, both of Holy Family, St. Adelbert Harvest House, Z.B. Falcons Nest 80 and Notre Dame Retirees Club.
