Alfred D. Iden, 47
of 1305 S. Main died about 9 p.m. Monday in St Joseph's Hospital South Bend, where he had been admitted for treatment of an injury received while working previously at the Uniroyal, Inc., power plant. Emergency medical technicians
took Iden to St. Joseph Hospital in Mishawaka about 7:40 a.m. Monday after his wife was unable to rouse him from sleep. EMT's also had assisted Iden in his home about midnight the previous day, when he complained of an ankle injury received at work. Iden had been ill at work and had fallen, EMT's were told. Uniroyal officials are investigating the death. Iden was born on March 21, 1932 in Wawaka, Ind. And had lived in Mishawaka most of his life. His first Nancy J

On Oct. 2, 1965, in Mishawaka, he Shirley Seese, who survives, with a son, David A Iden of Mishawaka, a granddaughter; his parents Mr. and Mrs. Raymond Iden of Wolf Lake, Ind.; two brothers Jerry of Mishawaka and Robert of Churubusco Ind. And three sister, Mrs. Robert (Sandy) Pherson of Mishawaka ; Mrs. Lloyd (Sharon) Waller of Rawson, Ohio and Mrs. Dwayne (Shirley) Coe of Fort Wayne. p.m. Wednesday in the Warner Funeral home, Osceola. Iden was a member of the First Christian Church and and the United Rubber Workers, Local 65, and was a veteran of the Army.
