SOUTH BEND Services for Verna Szumski, 82, of 1218 N. Johnson St., who died at 9:10 p.m. Thursday in Healthwin Hospital, will be at 10 a.m. Monday in Holy Cross Catholic Church. Burial will be in Highland Cemetery. Friends may call from 2 to 9 p.m. Sunday in Kaniewski and Sons Funeral Home, where members of the Altar and Rosary Society will say the rosary at 3 p.m. A parish rosary win be said at 7 p.m. Sunday. She was born Nov. 26, 1906, in South Bend and lived in the area all of her life. Memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Association of Northern Indiana, P.O.
