GRANGER - Richard H. Latosinski, 91, of Granger, passed away on Tuesday October 18, 2016 at Saint Joseph Regional Medical Center, Mishawaka. He was born on February 9, 1925 in South Bend, to the late Stanley P. and Marie (Kolasinski) Latosinski. On May 15, 1948 he married Virginia L. Moore, who preceded him in death on August 22, 2009. He was also preceded in death by a daughter, Linda Friend and a sister, Margaret Thomas. Richard is survived by his son, Larry (Rosemary) Latosinski of Summerfield, FL; five grandchildren, Angela Friend, Krystal Wheelis, Aaron Friend, Jim (Kristina) Friend and Jerry Latosinski; three great-grandchildren J.J. Friend, Cody Lawson and Jake Wheelis. Mr. Latosinski worked for the South Bend Community School Corporation as an Engineer for 21 years, before retiring in 1987. He was a United States Navy Veteran of WWII, and a parishioner of St. Pius X Catholic Church, Granger. Richard loved to work outside, he had a wonderful flower garden that he enjoyed. Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday October 22, 2016 at the Kaniewski Funeral Home, 3545 N. Bendix Drive, where friends may visit for 2 hours prior to the service.
