SOUTH BEND - Thomas R. Andrysiak, 75, of South Bend, passed away at 2:15 PM November 23rd in his residence with his loving family at his bedside. Mr. Andrysiak was born on Sept. 13, 1937, in South Bend, & resided in the area his entire lifetime. On December 1st, 1962, in South Bend, he married the former Judith A. Laskowski, who survives. Also surviving are two daughters, Lori (Martin) Siade and Lisa (Hayden) Fee, both of South Bend. One son, Richard (Lisa) Andrysiak of Granger, IN. Twelve grandchildren, Halee, Maurice, Megan, Monica, Jessica, Kara, Krista, Hanna, Marisa, Jenna, Travis and TJ. three great-grandchildren, Braeden, Cohen and Brielle, all whom he loved and cherished. Tom was preceded in death by his parents, Frank and Lillian (Cwidak) Andrysiak, a grandson, Thomas Fredrick; and a sister, Joan Key. Mr. Andrysiak retired from the the St. Joseph County Police Dept. as a sergeant. He was a U.S. Army veteran, having served during the Korean Conflict in the 101st Airborne. He was a member of St. Casmir Catholic Church, FOP #155 and American Legion Post 303. Mr. Andrysiak was a loving husband, father and grandfather who cared for his family and will be dearly missed by his family and all who had the opportunity to know Tom during his life journey. Tom loved working out at the gym and being with his grandchildren who were the love of his life. His wishes were to be cremated, and his loving family honored those wishes. A Memorial Service will take place at 7:00 PM Thursday, November 29th, at HANLEY and Sons "Southwest Chapel" Funeral Home, located at West Ireland Road / Indiana 23, South Bend. Friends may visit with the family from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM on Thursday, November 29th, in the funeral home. The family request all memorial contributions be made to The Food Bank of Northern Indiana, 702 S. Chapin Street, South Bend, IN 46601. The HANLEY & Sons "Southwest Chapel" Funeral Home handled arrangements and services and extends its deepest sympathy and heartfelt prayers to the Andrysiak family.
