Linda S. Ver Berkmoes, 62 years old, passed away at Memorial Hospital on Thursday, June 17, 2021 at 5:15 a.m. She was born on July 5, 1958 in Elkhart, IN to the late Charles R. and Cleo Lorene (Marks) Ver Berkmoes. Linda earned her associates degree from Southwestern Michigan College. She was a caring person with a great sense of humor and a good heart. Linda had a talent for cooking and baking and in her younger days she was an avid swimmer and skier. She will be deeply missed by those that knew and loved her. Linda is survived by her daughter, Sarah Ellerbrook of South Bend and her three grandchildren, Adam Lee Cole, Kevin Eugene Ellerbrook and McKenzie May Ellerbrook. She also leaves behind her sister, Anne (Patrick) Fitzsimons of Cassopolis, MI., her niece, Melissa (Jonathan) Ottesen of Portage, MI., and nephew, James (Shakira) Westgate of Niles, MI. Linda was preceded in death by her sister Martha Ver Berkmoes, and brother, Robert Ver Berkmoes. No services will be held at this time, the family will be holding a private celebration of life at a later date.
