She moved to South Bend and worked at the telephone company. She married Ted Dudek at St. Patrick Church and spent the majority of her life raising her four children, later going to work at Robertson's Department Store in downtown South Bend for 18 years. Audrey had many hobbies, reading being her favorite. Later, she enjoyed painting watercolors, especially featuring wild life. Audrey loved working in her garden, and created many wonderful meals with the produce. She was a great cook, her specialties being fried chicken and stuffed peppers. She loved to travel with her trips to Puerto Rico, Hawaii, and the Alaskan cruise she took with her children among the most memorable. She loved going to the theatre and concerts, with Riverdance and Celtic Thunder being her two favorites. Her love of animals continued her entire lifetime during which time she cared for legions of animals. She never met a stray cat she didn't take in. She reunited in heaven with her beloved dogs, Nicole, Missy and Libby. She enjoyed dining out, card parties and garage saling with her dearest friend, Marianne Tomaszewski. Audrey had a very generous heart and was always willing to lend a hand. Her family and friends were always first in her life. She cherished the time she spent with her family.
