Evelyn V. Pilarski, 77, of North Johnson Street, passed away at 12:20 p.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 11, in Hospice House.Mrs. Pilarski was born on July 12, 1919, in South Bend, Ind., and was a lifelong area resident. On May 4, 1940, in Des Moines, Iowa, as Evelyn V. Jablonski, she married Raymond Pilarski, who preceded her in death on May 7, 1981. She is survived by three sons, Richard R. Pilarski and his wife, Alice, of Fort Wayne, Ind., William A. Pilarski and his wife, Barb, of South Bend and David A. Pilarski of South Bend; three grandchildren, Kimberly Pilarski, Kristine Romo and Kandy Pilarski; three great-grandchildren, Daphne Romo, Victoria Romo and Justice Voss; seven step-grandchildren, Vincent Luberts, Derek Carr, Melanie Carr, Amy Carr, Sarah Bryant, Shanna Schott and Christopher Clements; five step-great-grandchildren, Michael Schott, Thomas Schott, Joshua Schott, Rebecca Schott and Mercedes Clements; a sister, Violet Garstecki of South Bend; and a brother, Walter Jablonski of South Bend. Services will be held at 9 a.m. on Friday, Feb. 14, in St. Stanislaus Catholic Church. Burial will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery.
