Elizabeth H. “Bea” Blasko, age 84, of Mishawaka, passed away Wednesday morning, October 4, 2006, in Hospice House, South Bend. Bea was born July 13, 1922, in Mishawaka, a daughter of the late Konstanty and Annastazia (Jurkewicz) Gregorowicz. She grew up in Mishawaka. On November 7, 1942, Bea married Michael Blasko and the couple made Mishawaka their home. She was a homemaker who enjoyed sewing and cooking. Bea was a member of St. Monica Catholic Church. Her family was the center of her life and she served as a caretaker for many in her family. Bea's surviving family includes her daughter, Lisa; her son, Edward; five grandsons; one granddaughter, three great-grandsons; two great-granddaughters; several sisters-in-law; a brother-in-law; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Michael in 1994; two brothers, William Gregorowicz and Henry Gregory; and a sister, Rose Mason. Friends may call on Friday from noon until 2 p.m. in Thallemer, Goethals & Wells Funeral Home, 503 West Third Street, Mishawaka. Services will be held in the funeral home on Friday at 2 p.m. with Rev. Jeffery Largent officiating. Burial will follow at Fairview Cemetery. Memorials contributions may be given to The Center for Hospice & Palliative Care. Envelopes are available in the funeral home.
