Harry Stanley Michalski
May 5, 1936 - August 24, 2022
Harry Stanley Michalski, 86 years old, passed away Wednesday, August 24, 2022. Harry was born May 5,1936 in South Bend to the late Stanley and Emily (Wroblewski) Michalski. Left to cherish the memory of Harry is his loving wife, Alice (Ogrokiewicz) Michalski; children, Mary (Kenneth) Davis, Stan (Becca Masters) Michalski; grandson, Jacob Davis; and brother, Edward (Janice) Michalski. Harry was a lifelong resident of the Terre Coupee area. He loved the area and learning about its history. He was even referred to as a walking encyclopedia as he knew everything about everyone. Harry was also a great reader and story teller. He could keep everyone engaged for hours upon hours with all of his stories. Harry was a member of St. Stanislaus Kostka, the American Postal Workers Union, Farm Bureau and St. Stans Usher Club. He also enjoyed learning about his own family history, being on his farm, and working with his cows and chickens. Harry loved his Jezynowka Blackberry Brandy, and was even rumored to be the one to come up with the name as it was Polish for Blackberry Brandy. Above all, Harry loved spending time with his family. He will be dearly missed. The family would like to thank Caring Cove Hospice and Robin’s Nest for their compassion in taking care of Harry. Visitation for Harry will be from 3:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Sunday, August 28, 2022 at St. Joseph Funeral Home, 824 S. Mayflower Rd. with a Rosary to be prayed at 4:00pm. Friends may also visit with the family from 11:00am to 11:45am Monday, August 29, 2022 at the funeral home. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 12:00 (noon) on Monday at St. Stanislaus Kostka Catholic Church. Burial will immediately follow to St. Joseph Cemetery, South Bend.
