SOUTH BEND - Ronald James Jaicomo, 89, passed away in his home the morning of October 26, 2021. Ronald was born to the late Maxine and Anthony P. Jaicomo in South Bend, IN, on October 23, 1932. He graduated from Bradley University where he was President of Lambda Chi Alpha Fraternity. Ronald Served in the U.S. Army from September 21, 1954 - August 21, 1956. Ronald then Graduated from The University of Illinois Law School in 1959, where he was a member of the Law Review. On August 20, 1955, Ronald married Mary Joanne Carrigan in Neu Ulm, Germany, who survives him. Also surviving Ronald are their children; Michael J. (Laura) Jaicomo, Lynne Ann (William) Deal, Mary Beth Giacomo and David A. (Kimberly) Jaicomo. Their Grandchildren; Patrick (Kenzie) Jaicomo, Margaret E. Jaicomo, Sam Deal, Jack Deal, Nicholas Jaicomo, and Alexandra (Tanner) Steel. Great-Granddaughters; Scarlett, Ivy and Cora. Ronald was very active in the community. He was a trustee of the Stanley Clark School, President of the LaSalle Council Boy Scouts of America in 1975 and 1994, Director and President of the Civic Planning Association, Treasurer of the South Bend Country Club, Board member for the YMCA, Midwest Pops Orchestra, South Bend Symphony and Madfats Tennis. He was also very active in the St. Joseph Bar Association and was President in 2004. Ron taught the Paralegal Studies program at Indiana University at South Bend. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Thursday, November 4, 2021, at 11:00 a.m. at St. Pius X Catholic Church 52553 Fir Road, Granger, IN 46530. There will be a visitation one hour prior to service. Inurnment to follow at St. Joseph Valley Memorial Park. Memorial Contributions may be made in Ronald’s name to LaSalle Council of Boy Scouts of America 1340 South Bend Ave, South Bend, IN 46617: Stanley Clark School 3123 Miami St. South Bend, IN 46614 or to the Charity of the Donor’s Choice.
