His full date and place of death are given in his Indiana death certificate for which his wife, Mrs. Frances (Knowles) Probst, was the informant. She reported that he was a dentist. It was her understanding that he was born Dec. 30, 1898 in South Bend to Henry & Cynthia (Singler) Probst.
