SOUTH BEND - Jenny L. White, 85, of South Bend, passed away on Friday, July 25, 2014, in her home peacefully. She was born on September 19, 1928, in South Bend, to the late George and Alexandria (Cichowicz) Deguch, and was a lifelong area resident. She was preceded in death by her husband, William Mathews, on December 28, 1966. On November 13, 1976, she married Clarence Joseph White, who survives. Jenny is also survived by her daughters, Nancy (Roscoe) Hankins of Niles, MI, and Connie (Robert) Anderson of South Bend; and two grandchildren, William (Maria) Anderson and Ginny (Chris) Matthys; and 5 great-grandchildren, Austin, Alex and Andrew Anderson, and Margaret and Nicholas Matthys. She was also preceded in death by two sisters, Elsie Kowalski and Mary Joachim; and by three brothers, Frank, Bert and Walter Deguch. Mrs. White retired from Raco in 1992 after 25 years of service. She was a member of St. Mary's National Church, South Bend, and the PNA. Visitation will be from 2 to 8 pm Tuesday, July 29, 2014, in the Kaniewski Funeral Home, 3545 N. Bendix Drive, South Bend, where a Rosary will be prayed at 4 pm. A Funeral Mass will be held at 10 am Wednesday, July 30, 2014, in St. Mary's Church, with burial to follow at St. Joseph Cemetery.
