Patricia M. Hancock, 83, of South Bend, Indiana passed away at 12:29 a.m. Sunday, November 14, 2021, in Memorial Hospital surrounded by loving family. Patricia was born on February 5, 1938 in South Bend, Indiana to Donald and Sophie (Molenda) Tindall. She retired on December 31, 2010 from the Family and Children’s Center, where she was employed for 27 years. On December 27, 1956 at St. Adalbert Catholic Church in South Bend, Indiana she married Daniel A. Hancock, who survives. They met when they were 14 years old and were married at age 18. She went to Japan with Daniel as he served in the US Army. After completing his duty they returned to South Bend to start their family. They built a strong and beautiful family and were blessed to be in love for nearly 70 years. Patricia is also survived by three daughters, Vicki (Tom) Gleitz of Mishawaka, Indiana, Rhonda (Paul) Menting and Lynne (Brian) Bishop both of South Bend, Indiana; eight grandchildren, Matthew (Jenna) Fischer, Danielle (Ryan) Casassa, Patrick (Teresa) Fischer, Allison and Mitchell Menting, Jacob, Joci and AJ Bishop; three great-grandchildren, Cole and Evan Fischer and Lucas Casassa; her brother, Robert (Shirley) Tindall of Titusville, Florida; and her dear cousin, Deb (Tom) Leonakis. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, November 18, 2021 in St. Matthew Cathedral. Patricia was a parishioner of St. Matthew Parish. She loved her Notre Dame Football Saturdays, but her greatest love was being MawMaw to her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
