Clara Sczepczenski, 88 years old of Niagara Falls, passed away on Monday, September 15, 2014 at Mt. St. Mary's Hospital. She was born in South Bend, IN on June 5, 1926, the daughter of the late Casimer and Irene Kania. Mrs. Sczepczenski moved to Niagara Falls as a young woman. She was married to the late Edward Sczepczenski and devoted herself to raising and caring for her four children. She was a member of Woodmen of the World Group 468, the former Holy Trinity Church and was an avid Notre Dame fan. She was a former member of the Holy Trinity Seniors.
Mrs. Sczepczenski is survived by her children, Cynthia (Dennis) Scrinzi of Gasport, Peter Sczepczenski of San Diego, CA, Paul (Denise) Sczepczenski and John Sczepczenski, both of Niagara Falls. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Robert and Kevin Sczepczenski and Ashley and Ryan Scrinzi; three great-grandchildren; her brother, Robert (Kathy) Kania of Osceola, IN; and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, Edward, who passed away on September 9, 1977; and her sister, Rita Kania. Friends may call on Thursday from 2-4 PM and 6-8 PM at the LABUDA FUNERAL HOME, INC. , 356 Portage Road, Niagara Falls, where funeral services will be held on Friday at 9:15 AM, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 AM at St. John de LaSalle Church, 8477 Buffalo Avenue with Rev. Slawomir Siok officiating. Interment in Holy Trinity Cemetery, Lewiston. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Foundation of the Blind, 2 Penn Plaza, Suite 1102, New York, NY 10121.

Editors Note: It would appear that Casimir Kanias wife Irene was married to a Golubski in a prior marriage. This explains the above obituary from Niagara Falls NY.
