MISHAWAKA - Theresa J. Fulkerson, 85, of Mishawaka, died at 12:10 a.m. Saturday, October 3, 2009, in the Golden Living Center, Mishawaka. Theresa was born July 17, 1924, in South Bend, to the late Vincent and Mary (Franchowiak) Spychalski. She was also preceded in death by one son, Charles, four sisters and three brothers. On May 7, 1955, in Mishawaka, Theresa married Paul B. Fulkerson, who died on January 8, 2005. Surviving are two daughters, Marie Mullis of Bloomington, IN, and Paula Ford of Mishawaka; three sons, Kenneth (Sally) Fulkerson of Rio Rancho, NM, John Fulkerson and Don Fulkerson, both of Mishawaka, IN; 12 grandchildren, Frank and Allen Mullis, Joshua, Gary, Jason, Kevin, Michael, Adam and Arik Fulkerson, Shannon (Kevin) Putz and Hope and Faith Ford; 19 great-grandchildren, Konnor, Kamdon, Preston, Jacob, Addison, Kayden, Aubree, Cole, Madison, Katlin, Westin, Amber, Arik Jr., Chardae, Kayla, Mason, Elijah, Gavin and Jeremiah. Friends may call Tuesday for one hour prior to services at 11 a.m. in the Hahn Funeral Home, 505 W. 8th St., Mishawaka. The Very Rev. Sergei Holowko will officiate and burial will be at St. Joseph P.R.C. Cemetery in South Bend. Theresa retired in 1989 after working at the Princess Bakery as an assistant baker. Prior to that she had worked at Robertson's. She loved her family dearly and enjoyed low stakes gambling, especially a game called "left, right, center." She will missed greatly but never forgotten.
