Czeslaw "Chester" Demko, age 93, Otis, IN passed away Thursday, June 11, 2009 at 11:30pm in Porter Co. Hospital, Valparaiso, IN. He was born August 20, 1915 in Maleszewo, Poland to Jacub & Stefania (Rydzecki) Demko. In Germany on April 19, 1947 he married Maria Cieraszynski, who survives Otis, IN. Also surviving are 3 Daughters, Maria (Dallas) Seedorf of Hobart, IN, Ann (Ron) Foldenauer of Otis, IN, Helen Demko of Laporte, IN; 4 Granddaughters, Debbie (Steve) Wozniak of Laporte, IN, Patricia (Tom) Littleton of Mishawaka, IN, Dr. Tara (Aaron) Addy of Uniontown, OH, Tina (Dr. Michael) Kaiser of Richland, MI; Grandson, David (Amy) Seedorf of Pensacola, FL; 6 Great Grandchildren, 3 Nephews; 3 Brothers, John Demko, Stefan Demko, Theodore Demko; Sister-in-law, Ella Cieraszynski of Ashland, KY; He was preceded in death by Brother-in-law, Alex Cieraszynski. He was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church, Otis, IN. He served in the Polish Army, and was a prisoner of War during W.W.II for 3 years and retired from Joy Mfg in 1980 from the Maintenance Dept.
