Karen Sue (Gilliland) Morauski, 77, of Elkhart, Indiana, passed away on Dec. 28, 2021, in Mishawaka, Indiana. She was born to the late Robert and Kathryn (Fritschle) Gilliland on Jan. 1, 1944, in Urbana, Illinois. She was an Elkhart Community School teacher for over 10 years. She was a devoted mother and loved being with her family. She enjoyed camping, crafts, sewing, canvas sewing and traveling after her retirement. She is survived by her children, Jeffrey (Terra) Morauski and Teresa Ragsdale; and five grandchildren, Kala, Paige, Harper, Thomas and Aaron.In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Donald "Mark" Gilliland. Services for Karen will be Monday, Jan. 3, at 11 a.m. at Chapel Hill Funeral Home, 10776 McKinley Hwy, Osceola, IN 46561, with burial to follow in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens. Friends may visit on Sunday, Jan. 2, from 3 to 5 p.m. at the funeral home. Chapel Hill is honored to care for the Morauski Family.
