Theresa T. Papczynski (Sept. 18, 1913-June 15, 1994)
SOUTH BEND - Theresa T. Papczynski, 80, of Regent Street, Niles, formerly of Poland Street, died at 7:40 a.m. Wednesday in St. Joseph's Medical Center. Mrs. Papczynski retired from the University of Notre Dame. She was born Sept. 18, 1913, in South Bend, and moved to Niles four years ago. Surviving are a daughter, Juanita Dix of South Bend; six sons, John, Joseph, Julius and Jerome, all of Niles, Jack of Oklahoma and James of Richmond, Ind.; 22 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; two sisters, Josephine Hartman and Jane Paulinski, both of South Bend; and a brother, Ike Paulinski of South Bend. She was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church and its Altar and Rosary Society and Harvest House, Constant Vigil of Prayer of St. Hedwig Catholic Church and was a volunteer for St. Vincent de Paul Society. Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday in Holy Family Catholic Church. Burial will be in St. Joseph Cemetery. Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 6 to 9 p.m. Friday in St. Joseph Funeral Home, where a parish rosary will be said at 7 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to Holy Family Church or any charity.
