Frank L. Kaniewski, 64, of 1210 Kinyon St., died at 6:30am Sunday in Memorial Hospital after a brief illness. He was an employee of Drewrys Limited USA Inc.
Mr. Kaniewski was born on May 9, 1900, in South Bend, and married Mae Wozniak in November 1923, in St Stanislaus Kostka Church, Terre Coupe.
She died on March 7, 1958. Surviving are a son, Eugene; a daughter, Mrs. Lorraine Staup; eight grandchildren; three brothers, Larry, Del & William, and three sisters, Mrs. Clara Bonczynski, Mrs. Sophie Ujdak and Mrs. Irene Antonelli, all of South Bend. Friends may call after 7pm today at the St Joseph Funeral Home. Services will be at 10am Wednesday in Holy Cross Catholic Church, Rev. Walter J. Higgins, CSC, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Highland Cemetery. He was a member of the Drewrys Employees Assn and Local 275, United Brewery Workers, AFL-CIO.

Pallbearers at services for Frank L. Kaniewski, 1210 Kinyon St, who died Sunday, will be Gerald Palmer, Salvatore Molinaro, Robert Graham, William Tidwell, Elmer P. Parmley and James Cenkush. Honorary pallbearers will be Francis J. Weber, Joseph Scheidl, Mitchell Szczerba and Steven Wieger. The rosary will be recited at 7:30pm today in the St Joseph Funeral Home. Services will be at 10am Wednesday in Holy Cross Catholic Church and burial will be in Highland Cemetery.
