SOUTH BEND - Helen T. Bartoszek, 84, passed away Saturday, September 21, 2013, in the Sanctuary at Holy Cross. Helen was born April 26, 1929, in South Bend, to the late Joseph and Anna Kil. She was preceded in death by a son, Kenneth J. Bartoszek; brothers, Henry and Roman; and sisters, Henrietta, Sally, Wanda and Alice. On May 30, 1949, in St. Hedwig Catholic Church, Helen married John E. Bartoszek, who survives along with their children, Diane M. (Brian) Poole of Seminole, FL, Denise A. (Jim) Suddes of Atlanta, GA, Keith A. Bartoszek of South Bend, Kevin E. Bartoszek of Mishawaka, Karl M. Bartoszek of South Bend, Doreen A. (Bruce) Diveley of Mishawaka; grandchildren, Nathan (Alecia) Poole of Largo, FL, Shauna (Chris) Bromby of Ocoee, FL, Patrick Suddes of Austin, TX, Sean Suddes of Atlanta, GA, Molly (Ryan) Cranford of Atlanta, GA, Jonathon Diveley of Mishawaka, Donavon Diveley of Mishawaka, and Cevan Bartoszek of Miami, FL; great-granchildren, Vanessa Poole, Iain Bromby, Raina Bromby, Halena Poole, and soon to be born Tily Victoria Poole; brothers, Dick and Chet; sisters, Irene, Anne, Virginia, Anita and Harriett; and forty-nine nieces and nephews. Helen was a parishioner of Holy Cross Catholic Church where she was a member of the Altar and Rosary Society. She was a homemaker, and enjoyed crafting, painting, drawing, sewing, crocheting, baking and singing. Helen's greatest joy was raising her family. A Memorial Gathering for Helen will be 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm Friday, September 27, 2013, in ST. JOSEPH FUNERAL HOME, 824 S. Mayflower Rd. Burial will be at St. Joseph Cemetery.
