MISHAWAKA - Elie F. Azzi, 54, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, January 16, 2017, at his residence. Elie was born on August 16, 1962, in Tabarja, Lebanon, to Farid and Marie-Louise (Bassil) Azzi. On May 6, 1989, Elie married the former Mireille Baramili in Cincinnati, OH; Elie and Mireille were married for 27 years. Elie is survived by his wife Mireille and their two sons, Chris and Paul Azzi, both residing in California. Also surviving are a sister, Nina (Fadlo) Ishak, and a brother, Rocky (Rita) Azzi, both from Lebanon. Elie was preceded in death by his parents. Elie and his wife were parishioners of St Pius X Catholic Church. Elie had a Master's Degree in Management and Mechanical Engineering. He was a Vice President of Elkhart Plastic in Elkhart, IN. He enjoyed playing golf, tennis, fishing, swimming, and spending quality time with his family. Elie and Mireille would travel a lot. The family will receive friends on Friday, January 20, 2017, from 9:00 am until 11:00 am, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 am, with Reverend William Meininger officiating at the Little Flower Catholic Church, 54191 N. Ironwood, South Bend, IN 46635. Burial will take place in Lebanon. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Maron's Catholic Church in Minneapolis, MN.
