LaPorte, Ind. - Jacob Szynski, 71, R. R. 2, New Carlisle, died at 6:05 am.m yesterday at the Holy Family Hospital. Funeral services will be 10 a.m. (EST) Thursday at St. John's Canty Church, Rolling Prairie, with Rev. Henry Smartz officiating. Burial will be in St. John's Canty Cemetery. Friends may call at the Essling Funeral Home, La Porte ater 1 p.m. tomorrow. The Rosary will be recited at the funeral home by members of the Knights of Columbus at 7 p.m. tomorrow and by the parish Rosary Society at 7 p.m. Wednesday. Mr. Szynski was retired from Allis-Chalmers Manufacturing Co. He was married to Michaeleen Laskowski, who survives. Also surviving are four daughters and four sisters.
