SOUTH BEND - Michael J. "Mickey" Csakany, 74, passed away at 4:45 pm Monday, June 29, 2015, in Wellbrooke of South Bend. Michael was born on August 30, 1940, in South Bend, to John and Mary (Fulop) Csakany. On July 20, 1963, he married the former Kathleen Mandich. He was a tool and die designer who after retirement enjoyed woodworking, classic cars, wrestling, and old aircraft. Surviving are his wife, Kathleen "KC" Mandich-Csakany; two sons, Christopher (Carol) Csakany and Paul (Joann) Csakany; four grandchildren, Erin, Adrianne, Brandon, and Robert; a sister, Karen (Art) Frayer; two brothers, Thomas (Ellen) Csakany and John (Marcia) Csakany; a brother-in-law, Daniel J. Mandich; sister-in-law, Millicent (John) Psarakis; and numerous nieces and nephews. Cremation has taken place. Graveside services will be held at 11:00 am Tuesday, July 7, 2015, in Sacred Heart Cemetery. Zahoran Funeral Home has been entrusted with arrangements.
