John F. Donchetz
John F. Donchetz, 67, died in his room at 715 Broad Sstreet . He apparently died of a heart attack, Dr. Beal said, Mr. Donchetz suffered a heart attack five years ago and had been in failing health since. He was born Oct. 29, 1895 in Chicago. He came here in 1948. Mr. Donchetz at one time was a policeman in Chicago. Later he worked as an auto mechanic in Chicago and at Roti Motor Sales in Benton Harbor until ill health forced him to take a job as a bartender at the Sun Bowl in Stevensville. He was a member of St. Joseph Catholic church. Mr. Donchetz' wife, Mary, died in 1955. He is survived by a son, John, Jr., in South Bend and six grandchildren. The body was sent to the Quinlan funeral home at 2122 West 19th Street, Chicago. Requiem high Mass will be sung in Chicago. Burial will be in St. Joseph cemetery in River Grove, 111. Funeral arrangements were handled by Dey Brothers funeral home where friends called until 1 p.m. today.
