Raymond F. “Bud” Stephens, 75 years old, passed away at 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, June 29, 2022 at his home surrounded by his loving family. Bud was born on August 11, 1946 in South Bend to the late Donald and Delores (Jaronik) Stephens. He has remained a lifelong resident of South Bend. On August 19, 1967 in South Bend, Raymond F. “Bud” Stephens and Barbara Fisher were united in marriage. Along with Barbara, his loving wife of 54 years, survivors include three children, Donny Stephens, Kathy Stephens and Teri Stephens, all of South Bend; three grandchildren, Trevor (Araceli) Stephens, Michael Ross (Savannah) Stephens, and Madison (Travis) Stephens; sister, Dianne (Donald) Molnar of South Bend; and his extended family, John (Jackie) and Michael (Sherry). Bud retired in 2008 after 29 years of employment as a service technician with South Bend Lathe. He attended St. Matthew Cathedral. Bud was preceded in death by his grandson, Braeton. There will be no services or visitation. Palmer Funeral Home-Guisinger Chapel and Southlawn Cremation Services is assisting the family. In lieu of flowers, contributions in memory of Raymond “Bud” Stephens may be donated to Pet Refuge, 4626 S. Burnett Drive, South Bend, IN 46614.
