SOUTH BEND - Barbara V. Plamowski, 81, passed away Thursday evening, December 4, 2014, in the Hospice House of St. Joseph County. Barbara was born February 3, 1933, in Niles, to the late Frank and Mary (Wroblewski) Krusinski. On September 5, 1953, in Michigan City, Barbara married Edward Plamow-ski, who preceded her in death on January 8, 2006. Barbara was also preceded in death by a son, Steven Plamowski; brothers, Sylvester, Leonard, Casi-mir Krusinski; and sister, Virginia Krusinski. Survivors of Barbara include her children, Richard, Michael (Arvena), Daniel (Tara) and Cathleen Plamowski; brother, Chester Krusinski; and twin sister, Bernice Krusinski; grandchildren, Branden, Matthew, Jennifer, Ashley, Ryan, Sean; and great-grandson, Braylin Plamowski. Barbara had many accomplishments in her lifetime, she obtained her Pilot's License at the age of 18 which was a dream come true for her. She very much enjoyed traveling to many states and parks with her husband and family. Barbara loved to Polka dance with her husband. She also enjoyed going to the casinos with her friends and family. Barbara was a very selfless person who always put her children and grandchildren first; taking care of others was what she did best. The family would like to extend their gratitude to The Hospice House staff and Chaplains for their exceptional kindness and care. Visitation for Barbara will be 2:00 pm to 8:00 pm Monday, December 8, 2014, at ST. JOSEPH FUNERAL HOME, 824 S. Mayflower Rd., where a Rosary will be prayed at 7:30 pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 am Tuesday, December 9, 2014, in St. Stanislaus Bishop and Martyr Catholic Church. Burial will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery.
