INDEX

[N22347] Jeannot Caroline Ceuterick, 83, left us. She passed away from a pulmonary embolism with her family and friends by her side in the Saint Joseph Regional Medical Center. Jeannot, affectionately known as "Madame," was born in Ghent, Belgium, on March 7, 1927. Jeannot Florin married Pierre Ceuterick on September 25, 1948. They came to America and settled in Mishawaka, IN. They were married 63 years. Madame ran the French Language lab at St. Mary's Academy from 1965 to 1971. She worked for the Foreign Study League through Readers Digest for 18 years, impacting the lives of hundreds of students, taking them on tours through Europe. Madame was involved in the community volunteerism. Madame's impact on her family and friends is immeasurable. Her selflessness, over-pouring heart, and genuine kindness touched the lives of countless individuals. She was known as a second mom to so many people. If you were ill, she would come and stay by your side; if you needed a place to stay, her home and heart welcomed you. This elegant, beautiful, kind, selfless woman will continue to hold our hearts from her place in Heaven. Jeannot leaves behind her loving husband, Pierre Ceuterick. Her cherished daughters, Patricia Ceuterick of Austin, Texas, Michele Ceuterick-Feehan and her son-in-law, Tom Feehan of South Bend, and her daughter, Colette Ceuterick of South Bend. She also leaves behind her treasured granddaughters, Brianna Feehan of Los Angeles, California, and Colette Feehan of South Bend. A celebration of her life will take place at Woodbridge Village Condominiums, 18156 Stone Ridge, off of Ironwood, on Tuesday, January 11, 2011, from 4-8 p.m. A Rosary will be prayed at 7 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, January 12th, 2011, at 1 p.m. in St. Pius X Catholic Church, 52553 Fir Road, Granger, IN. The family will receive friends to further celebrate her life following the Mass at Woodbridge Village Condominiums. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made at Teachers Credit Union to fulfill her wish to establish the Jeannot Ceuterick Scholarship Fund.
